- The training will be carried out at the site depending upon the products being developed, and if required, visits to NID studios could be also be arranged by the programme leader.
- Prototype development through interactive participating and training with artisans/weavers.
- Introducing the concept of coordination in developing new range of products.
- Enhancing the aspect of value addition with effective use of traditional techniques to obtain finished products.
Design intervention in styling, finishing and product detailing for achieving uniqueness in products.
- The design inputs will be imparted so that product development from the raw material can be done according to design specifications. This will ensure that outcome required minimal additional processing, finishing and basic investment in machineries.
- It should also aim at saving materials time and labour costs thus ensuring quality control at the product development process.
- Merchandising aspects such as presentation, promotion, packaging and labeling, etc. will also be take care of through the developmental process.
